Angel, She Calls You
Naomi YoeliThe play is set in a village in the Jezreel Valley, in the 1950s. Miriam, a girl in first grade, constantly lives in fear because of the tense situation in the area surrounding her village. The one thing that soothes Miriam is her cat, Esterka. One day she freaks out and organizes all the kids in her class to trash the house of the crazy old woman who lived in the village. What got into Miriam?
The grown-up Miriam revisits everyone involved in that day’s incidents, which she never forgot.
Her mind is filled with unanswered questions about cruelty, meanness and violence.
