Based on the book by Gaute Heivoll.
The festival’s opening show uses cinematic period drama techniques combined with hyper-realistic puppets. The play moves between two parallel plots: one about a Norwegian arsonist, the other about the writer documenting the past and present. A deceptive thriller where puppet theater is used as a tool for documentation, hallucination and blurring the boundaries between reality and fiction.
Hyper-realistic puppets and film.
