Welcome to the Jerusalem Puppet Festival

The Jerusalem Puppet Festival features the most talented artists from the field of Puppet Theater in Israel and abroad, for children and adults. The festival includes the best productions and inspires curiosity and imagination.

The festival takes place in Jerusalem, our eternal capital, connecting different nations and people, acting as a cultural bridge.

The remarkable combination in Jerusalem between ancient and new, Jews and Arabs, sacred and secular, creates a mesmerizing backdrop for the festival activities. Consistent with my vision,[נ1]  the festival takes place in public spaces, making art accessible to all.

The Jerusalem Train Theater is the festival’s “hot engine”, leading us through the “train of surprises”, which manifest as its many productions. I’d like to give my warm thanks to the general manager of the theater, Ms. Dalia Yaffe Maayan, who finished her role as CEO and Artistic Director after 29 fortunate years, Shahar Marom, the new Artistic Director, Eldad Brik, the theater’s Interim CEO, Danny Fishof, the festival’s manager, and everyone who contributed to the establishment of this remarkable festival, presenting a “doll of a story”.
