Dear Guests of Jerusalem’s Puppet Theater Festival,

The city of Jerusalem is honored to host the annual International Puppet Theater Festival, which is celebrating 25 years of unique and original artistic creation.

Every summer, under the direction of the acclaimed Train Theater, the Puppet Theater Festival offers a wide variety of plays and performances for enthusiasts of culture and puppet theater from all over the world.

This year, guests can look forward to an exciting combination of traditional puppet theater and contemporary plays for children and adults alike. 

I welcome the collaboration between the Train Theater and renowned artists from Israel and from around the world, whom we are thrilled to host here in Jerusalem in anticipation of the Festival.

This year, we are especially proud to host one of the founders of the Train Theater and an Israeli Prize laureate in the field of performing arts – Hadas Ofrat – as part of the festival’s opening performance. 

I invite you all to come and enjoy the variety of cultural events and festivals that will take place in Jerusalem throughout the summer. Join us as we celebrate Jerusalem, an international hub for arts and culture.
